Another day, another Hailey Bieber manicure to drool over. The Rhode founder is our reigning queen of nail inspo, making us want to try everything from mismatched manicures, "Fruity Pebble" blue looks, her viral glazed donut mani, or her new favorite manicure that replaced it, the "naked" French. However, if we are picking favorites, her latest nail look is up there with her very best.
On March 5, the model posted an Instagram photo dump from an undisclosed beach location. In between photos of sea turtles, sea shells, selfies of her in a straw hat, bright red BRU Eyewear sunnies, and scenic ocean views, there were two surprising details—a gorgeous baby pink blush and a manicure to match.
Though the blush could be any brand, Bieber has long been teasing Rhode blushes—remember strawberry makeup? So, featuring a blush stick in an unassuming black tube front and center in her photo just seemed a little too suspicious to be an accident. Especially since the skincare brand commented the eyes emoji (👀), a ribbon emoji, and a few sparkle emojis under the post, seemingly hinting at an upcoming Rhode drop.
However, once we stopped wistfully daydreaming about a Rhode blush on our vanities, we couldn't help but stare at the nails she showed off while holding the blush—and the fact that they were the same shade as her pretty pink cheeks.
All almond in shape and a medium length, each of Bieber's nails matched with the lightest pink flush. Just like the pigment on her cheeks, the color was a baby "ribbon" pink. Not hot pink, not magenta, just a classic light pink the shade of ballet slippers. The finish on her nails was semi-milky and shiny, making her nails look like the pink shells she featured in the post.
Lucky for us, copying her blush manicure is easy enough for even the least talented nail artist to recreate perfectly—you don't even need to jet off to a beach location and secretly tease your brand's blush launch to pull them off.
First, as with any nail look, remove any lingering nail polish with remover. Then, cut and file your nails to the desired length and shape—this would also be the time to apply any tips or press-on if you want. After that, buff the surface for an even nail bed before applying your favorite base coat.
After your nails are prepped, it's time for color. Though you can use any light pink lying around in your collection, we recommend OPI's Mod About You ($12) or Chanel Ballerina ($32) if you're in the market for one exactly like Hailey's. Regardless, apply a thin, even coat and finish off with your favorite top coat, and your nails will practically be blushing.
